Using public transportation has become a whole lot easier with Google Maps and the ‘Get Transit Directions’ feature (Google Transit).

You can now use G Maps to plan a transit trip for several cities across the US and Canada.

To Plan a Trip Using Public Transportation:

1. Go to Google Maps and Search for Directions
2. If available for your route, you’ll see the option to take “Public Transit”
3. You can view upcoming departures and See a route on the map
4. Plan ahead by setting your Departure time
5. Step by step instructions for the entire route are available in text and on the map
6. See exactly where you need to be for travel times and transfers in each leg of the trip
7. You can also plan your return trip
