Using public transportation has become a whole lot easier with Google Maps and the ‘Get Transit Directions’ feature (Google Transit).
You can now use G Maps to plan a transit trip for several cities across the US and Canada.
To Plan a Trip Using Public Transportation:
- Go to Google Maps and Search for Directions
- If available for your route, you’ll see the option to take “Public Transit”
- You can view upcoming departures and See a route on the map
- Plan ahead by setting your Departure time
- Step by step instructions for the entire route are available in text and on the map
- See exactly where you need to be for travel times and transfers in each leg of the trip
- You can also plan your return trip
